FMS Track Competes At Central Plains
On May 3rd the FMS Track Team traveled to Claflin to compete in the Central Plains Junior High Invitational Meet. The team performed well, placing first in nine different events. Those athletes placing in the top ten in their events include the following:

On Thursday, April 28th, Fairfield hosted the Heart of the Plains League Track Meet. Gold medals were won by William McIver, Brody Snodgrass, and the 8th Grade Girls 4x100m / 4x200m Relay Team. The FHS Awards Banquet will be held on Monday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm in the FHS gymnasium. Falcon Parent Organization will provide d the main dish as well as drinks and table service. Freshmen and juniors are asked to bring a side dish and sophomores and seniors are asked to bring a dessert. Awards presentation will follow the meal. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday evening!

The FMS Track Team competed at Burrton on April 22nd and came away with several medals. FHS Discus Throwers Dominate at Sterling
On April 21st, FHS throwers walked away with the gold, silver, and bronze medals for men’s discus among 12 high schools. In discus, Calen Wente took first place with a throw of 130-08, followed by Zack Zongker placing second with a throw of 126-03. Placing third was Jacob Bauman with a 125-10 throw. The next closest competitor was at 116, so the three Falcon athletes stood out as superior. They also did well in shot put, with Zack Zongker taking the gold with a throw of 46-04.50. Jacob Bauman took third in the shot put, while Calen Wente placed seventh. In addition, Bauman took 8th in javelin throw. These three young men have had a very strong track season this spring.

Just a reminder that the Jackie Stiles basketball camp deadline is next Monday May 2nd. We have sponsorships to help pay for some of the camp and the registration fee is now $25 per student. This is a great opportunity for our students at Fairfield please sign your child up if they are wanting to do this camp. For those who have already paid you will get a refund. If your child is going to summer school the camp is on the last day of summer school and they will be able to participate.
