FMS will host the middle school track meet on Thursday, April 29th. School will be released at 12:00. The track meet will begin at 1:00 pm.
WENTE & ZONGKER TAKE GOLD IN STERLING
The FHS Track Team competed in the 2023 Sterling Relays on April 21, 2023. The highlight of the day for the Falcons came in the Shot Put and Discus. Zack Zongker won the gold in the Shot, while Callen Wente took gold in the Discus. Also placing in Shot was Garrett Lanning, who took fifth. Others placing in Discus include Zack Zongker taking the silver medal and Karly Combs placing sixth. In the 100m Hurdles, Yesenia Espinosa placed sixth while Luella Gard placed sixth in the 300m Hurdles. The boys’ 4x100m Relay team, composed of Brodie Snodgrass, Ashtin Cochran, Azeke Cochran, and Mason Kalmar, took sixth place. Brodie Snodgrass also placed sixth in Long Jump, while Garrett Lanning placed fifth in Javelin.
FHS track travels to Haven on Tuesday, April 25. The high jump will begin at 4:00, all other field events will begin at 4:30.

The activity busses will be running later than normal this evening due to waiting for the track bus to return to the school.
Turon Community Library is hosting a Storytelling Night on April 27th starting at 6 p.m.
There will be no middle school track practice on Friday, April 21. Track pictures will be taken on Monday, April 24. All middle school track athletes need to bring their track warm-ups for pictures!
Congratulations to the following students for being selected to attend HCTEA for the 2023-2024 school year. Luella Hasson, Yareli Martinez, Kelsee McMann, and Estrella Sanchez have been selected for Medical Science program, Erica Gaeddert for Welding, Kelly Griffin for Automotive Collision and Repair, and Garrett Lanning, Charles Mendenhall, and Rex Zongker, have been selected for the Automotive Technology program.
Middle school track competes at Burrton today. Field events will begin at 1:00 and running events will begin at 3:00.

Our next tournament will be 1A state on May 6. Fairfield will be hosting state at Hutch High School that day.

The Stafford High School Track Meet scheduled for Friday, April 28th, at 3:00 pm will be held on the Fairfield campus. The Stafford Track is still under completion and will not be finished by that time. Please note the change.
On Tuesday, April 18, all FMS and FHS basketball players will attend the Dillon Lecture Series featuring KU basketball coach Bill Self.
FHS tennis travels to Chaparral on Tuesday, April 18. The meet will begin at 3:00 pm!
