Today Mrs. Nisly's First Grade class became members of the Apple Orchard Police and were detectives looking for Farmer Brown's prize apple! To find the apple they had to learn many things about apples: life cycle, parts of an apple, height, weight, and if they float or sink. Students then got the opportunity to taste red, yellow and green apples as well as fresh homemade apple pie and apple cider! Huge shoutout and Thank You to Smith's Market in Hutchinson for donating the apples and apple cider for this project!
