Next week is Red Ribbon Spirit Week.

Sophomore Lukas Schwab is our next player spotlight. Lukas says "I picked my dad because he has helped me through football and he has been there at most of my games."

Next up for our player spotlight we have Sophomore Chase Combs.
I gave my jersey to Mr. Finder, because he has encouraged me to work hard both in and out of the game. Even when Mr. Finder was extremely busy and he had a new baby and his wife was in the hospital. He has still found the time to be able to drive from Hutch every morning to have weights with me and my fellow teammates. He showed that he wasn't just here just for the title of coach but that he actually cares and wants the best for us. What he showed me by showing up, even when life was complicated, made me want to work harder and to never give up because here you have to work for the good. Thank You Coach Finder

The next player spotlight is Junior Connor Fowler.
I gave my jersey to my mom. I look up to her because she always tries her best and works extremely hard to care for everyone in my family. She also is super forgiving when I do something wrong and helps me when I need it. I think this is why my mom is a great role model and I’m lucky she gets my jersey.

This past week Coach Finder asked the football players to present their white jersey to a family member, coach, or a member of the teaching staff that has had a significant impact on their life and been an inspiration to them. Throughout today and tomorrow we will be presenting those with a small caption on why they chose their person of inspiration.
Our first player spotlight is Junior Garrett Lanning.
I chose to give my jersey to coach Hewitt. Over the short time I’ve known him he has always been able to give me words of advice that have pushed me to be the best me I can be. Though he may call me names along the way, he has inspired me to be a better student, and athlete. Thank you coach.

Parents of freshman, we will be administering the Pre-ACT test this Wednesday, October 17th in the morning. The school covers the cost of the test. This test is an opportunity for students to gauge their academic strengths, as well as discover areas they need to concentrate on during high school before taking the ACT itself. The test scores also provide our teachers with information on content areas that may need more time and focus. Please contact Mrs. Knoche with any questions or concerns.
