Today is the day......

Now that we have officially wrapped up our fall sports activities the district would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt congratulations and deep gratitude to all our athletes, coaches, helpers/volunteers, and community members for your dedication and hard work throughout this exciting fall sports season. Your commitment and passion are what Fairfield a special place to be. To our student athletes, you have shown incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship on and off the court/field. Your hours of practice and unwavering efforts have brought pride and joy to our school and communities. The victories you achieved and the challenges you overcame have left an indelible mark on this season and school year. To our coaches, your guidance, mentorship, and leadership have been instrumental in shaping our student athletes in the best versions of themselves. Your tireless dedication to both the activity and the personal growth of your athletes is truly commendable. Your wisdom and support have made a significant impact on these young lives. We cannot thank you enough for continually instilling character and resilience into our student athletes as well as the positive example of sportsmanship that you all have exhibited. Your sacrifices, late-night/early morning practices, and your unyielding commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are immensely proud of all that you’ve accomplished. (Jenny Knoche, Kyle Finder, Dwight Hirt, Cassie Foster, Montana Fry-Wente, Heath Hewitt, Chelsie Fowler, Kyly Cannon, Alex Pankratz, Loren Nisly, James Davis) To our helpers/volunteers, your behind-the-scenes efforts are invaluable to the smooth functioning of our athletic events. It takes an immense amount of help to host an event and we as a district could not do this efficiently without the help and support that we get from the many volunteers/helpers that have stepped up to make these things possible for us. You are the unsung heroes who make it all possible and your contributions have not gone unnoticed. Finally, to our community members, your unwavering support and presence at games, meets, and matches have created an electric atmosphere that truly make our events special. Your encouragement and enthusiasm inspire our athletes and fosters a sense of unity and pride within our school community. Thank you again to everyone that made this fall such a special time to be a Fairfield Falcon!
As a reminder November 6-12, 2023 is the senior high fall athletic buffer week. There shall be no athletic practice, offseason conditioning, informal basketball shooting, or weight room use before/after school hours in school owned facilities during the fall athletic buffer week. Athletic activities of this nature may not be held under the supervision of a school staff member in non-school facilities. This means a moratorium on all school sponsored athletic activities during this week. Gyms will not be open to students during the fall athletic buffer week for purposes of shooting baskets, working out with weights, etc. outside of school hours. Physical education classes are considered part of the school day. Buffer week does not eliminate football practices for those senior high schools who qualify for football playoffs until such time their football season is over.

There will be an After Prom meeting tonight (11/1) at 6 p.m located in the cafeteria.
Happy November 1st! Attached is the updated calendar with changes in red.

Here are a few pictures from the Trunk or Treat festivities today. Thanks to all who participated!

It's basketball season! Don't miss out on getting your FMS basketball gear!

With cold weather season upon us, please remember to send students with proper clothing attire for the cold, particularly coats. Students will attempt to go outside if at all possible during the day. Thank you.
Reminder: The Powder Puff/Iron Tuff event will be this weekend. The public is welcome to attend and watch the games and then join the athletes for a soup meal. The cost to watch is free and the meal is $10, and will have the option of chicken and noodles with a dinner roll or chili and a cinnamon roll.

With the expected cold temperatures expected for tomorrow, October 31st, we will be changing plans for the trunk or treat. We will still plan on starting at 2pm, but instead of going to the south side of the football field, we will utilize the circle drive and grassy area just to the east of the elementary building and south of the shop. The attached map will indicate the route. Parents can park along the outer edges of the circle and in the field just south of the shop unless rain occurs. Please do not block the entrance to the back of the building. This path will limit the amount of time our kiddos will be outside in the elements before returning back to the school building.

There will be a Fairfield Parent Organization Meeting on this Thursday, November 2nd, at 6:30 pm.
