On Friday night, 45 students in PreK-5 joined the Falcon cheerleaders to perform and cheer on the HS Falcon teams.

Falcon boys rally from a big deficit but fall short 46-50 to the Bulldogs.

The Lady Falcons lost by 10 points to Attica tonight.

Students in 6th were challenged today by building a popsicle catapult. They were shown an introductory video on how to build. Next, they had to research different ways to build a catapult. Once they selected their design, they gathered their materials and began building. After completing the catapult, they then received a marble and launched. Finally, they were asked if they could do anything differently to increase their distance. They went back and created more sturdier structures, creating a better catapult.

FAIRFIELD HIRES SUPERINTENDENT FOR 2024-2025
The Board of Education has approved the hiring of Richard Spencer as the Fairfield U.S.D. #310 Superintendent for the 2024-2025 school year. Richard Spencer has over 30 years experience in public education. He started his career as a PE/Health teacher and coach. Since that time he has served in several roles including building leadership at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. He also has 13 years in District level leadership. Some of his core guiding principles of education are that great teachers need to be in each classroom, great educational leaders should be leading in every building, and a strong support structure must be in place across the district to drive student success.
Richard has been married to Sara for 32 years and they have two children. Sara is a Director of Initiatives in the healthcare industry, works from home, and travels frequently. Zach farms and owns/operates an agricultural drone application business. He lives south of Lincoln, Nebraska. Mikenna resides in Wichita and serves as a Behavioral Specialist at Camber Children’s Hospital. In Rich’s free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with his family.
