Dear Fairfield School Family,
Many of you may have already heard some news about one of our staff. It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that one of our teachers, Ms. Missy Salazar, passed away this past Christmas day after a long battle with cancer. We understand the impact this can have on you, your friends, and others. We ask all of you for grace as we all grieve in our own ways. Over the course of the weeks and days to come, you may see or feel strong emotions ranging from happiness to sadness as we all remember what Ms. Salazar meant to us.
Her family has planned her funeral for Saturday, January 17th at 11:30AM in Hutchinson at Holy Cross Church. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Ms. Salazar’s family and friends during this very difficult time.
The school will be providing access to multiple resources to help support those students and staff that need assistance during this time. Mental Health Staff will be available to meet with students and staff on January 6th, 2026.

Last night the High School Girls Volleyball and Basketball teams enjoyed a joint Christmas party! Complete with turning in their phones, enjoying a soup supper, getting very competitive with Christmas games, a white elephant gift exchange, and volleyball season awards. Merry Christmas from this loud and fun bunch! 💚❤️🎄

Our Falcon wrestlers had an outstanding showing today at Hesston. Kyle Haskins finished the day with a 3-2 record and a 4th place finish.
