Attached please find the updated August calendar. Grades K-12 will begin on Aust 26th. Pre-K will start on August 31st.

The Fairfield Board of Education approved a new calendar tonight for the 2020-2021 school year. The first day of school has been moved to Wednesday, August 26th. This change is being made for several reasons. More time is needed for professional development and planning for both onsite and remote learning. Also more time and training is needed for our new and extensive safety protocols. Finally, as most of you know, we have several suspected COVID cases in our area and also some confirmed ones. A number of people are currently in quarantine. Our district is working closely with the Reno County Health Department as we proceed. Our overall goal is to do everything we can to keep our students and staff safe. The updated calendar will be posted on our website tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11. If you have not enrolled yet, please take care of that ASAP. Thanks!

Sports practices will begin on Monday, August 17th. Times of practices will be announced later this week.
Do you have plans next Friday night (August 14)? If not, you may want to join with other Fairfield families to attend the FREE virtual show with Curtis the Mentalist at 6:30 pm! If you are interested, send an email to Julie Steen (jsteen@usd310.org) for the Zoom link!

Reminder for parents: Enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year runs through Friday. If you have not enrolled your child, please do so by Friday at 2:00 pm. Even if you are choosing the remote learning option, you still need to enroll your child for the school year. If you have any questions, please call the grade school office or high/middle school office.
Here is an example of what a Remote Learning Log will look like for those students that learn from home.
