First grade finished their unit learning about the Mayflower, the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Tribe working together to build shelters and grow crops, the first Thanksgiving, and our Thanksgiving traditions now. So today, Mrs. Knoche’s class worked in teams to build their own shelters with their choice of supplies. Their shelters were tested to see if they could withstand and keep out the “elements.” Hair dryer=wind, salt= snow, and sprinkled water=rain! It was fun and they were definitely creative! Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for!
