Our Fairfield Washington DC trip is still scheduled. We will be traveling over spring break 2021, starting on March 24th. The company hosting us, "World Strides" is taking precautions to make this trip as safe as possible. There are Fairfield students already signed up and making payments on the trip. There are also many scholarships to apply for that can make the trip affordable. Our Fairfield Trip Coordinator, Mrs. Julie Steen, is hosting a parent/staff zoom next Tuesday, September 1st at 6PM. If you would like an invitation to this zoom, please email Mrs. Steen ASAP at jsteen@usd310.org. Please let her know if you want to attend the zoom, and she will send the link out on Monday,8/31/20.
I only do this trip every other year, so your next opportunity won't be until 2023.

Daycare is open from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., but only when school is in session. Parents must provide transportation for daycare students. It is time for school tomorrow and this is what we want to say: "We can't MASK how excited we are to see you." Remote learners, we are happy that we will virtually get to see you as well.

Navigating Change--Health Procedures

Breaking News:
Since the Reno County Commissioners voted not to allow local school boards to depart from the Governor's Executive Order 20-59, all students and adults in the main building on campus will be required to wear masks. There is an exception for those with doctor's orders. We tried not to have our youngest students, especially Pre-K, be required to wear masks. However the commissioners did not grant our board the power to make that decision. Also KSDE guidelines require that all students in a main building, even Pre-Kindergarteners, wear masks.
If you are a parent of a younger child and this changes your mind about your child attending school, we will still serve them remotely. Please let us know as soon as possible.
The changes in regards to masks for students have been made in our Reopening Plan, which you can find at this link: https://5il.co/j00b
